What is the Drive project?
The Department of Revenue is modernizing its title, vehicle registration, and dealer system.
The Motor Vehicle Division oversees about million registered vehicles (including boats, snowmobiles and off-road) in South Dakota and regulates nearly 1, licensed motor vehicle dealers.
This system will transform the way the Department of Revenue’s motor vehicle division issues titles, renews registrations, and works with its stakeholders.
Why is Project project needed?
The current system, SDCars, experiences much functional deficiencies. The Department has discussed the need to modernize the system for many years. The dated nature of the current system presents the agency with limited support and minimal staff who are knowledgeable about maintaining the system.
The State annually reviews the lives of critical systems infrastructure. While ongoing investments have extended the life of the system numerous times, the system has reached the end of its useful life and need to be replaced.

Elbil
En elbil är ett elfordon som endast drivs av en eller flera elmotorer. Vanligen avses batterielbil(en) (battery electric vehicle, BEV), det vill säga fordon som strömförsörjs av batterier som laddas från extern elförsörjning, i allmänhet elnätet. En batterielbils egenskaper beror till stor del på batterierna. Stor batterikapacitet ger lång räckvidd (körsträcka mellan laddningar), men kan ge större klimatpåverkan, högre kostnad, längre maximal laddningstid och tyngre bil. Den vanligaste batteritypen i elbilar är litiumjonackumulatorer.
En bränslecellsbil är en elbil som drivs av bränsleceller där vätgas omvandlas till elektricitet i bilen. Bränsleceller väger mindre än batterier, men är dyrare. Vätgasen kan genereras från elkraft, vilket ger förluster, eller från naturgas, vilket ger upphov till koldioxidutsläpp.[1] Hybridbilar som kombinerar bränsleceller och batteridrift förekommer.
Andra typer av elfordon är hybridbilar och laddhybridbilar som kombinerar eldrift med en förbränningsmotor, samt icke personbilar, exempelvis elektrisk mopedbil.

A New Learning Management struktur
SDLearn fryst vatten the new Learning Management System for the State of South Dakota. All BHR Training and Development opportunities can be funnen in the SDLearn struktur. Employees can log into the struktur by clicking here. All employees will use Single Sign On.
SDLearn houses over 2, predeveloped courses in a multitude of content genres. The struktur is designed to take an employee’s job title and anställda interests into account, allowing it to suggest training courses suited to their needs. Employees can search for professional and anställda development courses in SDLearn as well as lista for instructor-led trainings being offered. Employee onboarding, BIT cybersecurity training, required compliance training and Ignite Leadership Development will all be found within SDLearn as well. Besides choosing classes independently and the required courses assigned to employees, supervisors also have the ability to assign trainings to staff.
Courses with a cost associated will need to be approved bygd your supervisor. Your supervisor will be notified via email when you request to attend a course with a monetary cost associated with it.
