    Aktiebolaget Bofors (AB Bofors) fanns ett svenskt industriföretag samt vapentillverkare tillsammans med huvudkontor inom Karlskoga, Värmland. Företaget grundades som en järnbruk , blev enstaka ledande ståltillverkare under talet, började producera kanoner Företaget hade Alfred Nobel likt huvudägare –, och tillkom kruttillverkning likt senare utökades till explosivämnen. Företaget växte under talet, inte minimalt genom grundlig vapenleveranser mot det svenska försvaret beneath de båda världskrigen, dock även genom export. Vapenproduktionen utökades tillsammans bland annat robotar samt stridsvagnar, samt även olika civila varor, framför allt inom kemi- och läkemedelsområdena.

    Sedan existerar företagets tidigare verksamhet uppdelad i Saab Dynamics (fram till benämnd Saab Bofors Dynamics) – vilken ägs av den svenska försvarskoncernen SAAB-gruppen samt tillverkar robotsystem och lätta understödsvapen – och BAE Systems Bofors – vilken ägs från BAE Systems AB sedan (verksamhet ägd av United Defense mot ) samt tillverkar eldrörssystem och artilleriammunition. BAE Systems AB existerar i sin tur sektion av den internationella försvarskoncern

    BAE Systems AB is subsidiary holding company for the Swedish assets of BAE Systems Land & Armaments, whose ultimate parent is the British defence contractor BAE Systems.

    The portfolio in contained the companies Systems C-ITS, involved in simulators and training; Bofors, that produces tube gun systems and related munitions; Hägglunds, the manufacturer of tracked military and civilian vehicles.

    AB Hägglund & Söner was founded in by Johan Hägglund in Gullänget, Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The company was divided in , one part being Hägglunds Vehicle AB, the military vehicles business. In October the British company Alvis plc acquired Hägglunds Vehicle AB to form Alvis Hägglunds AB. Alvis expanded its military vehicle business in with the purchase of GKN's armoured vehicle division in and Vickers Defence in to form Alvis Vickers. In September BAE Systems acquired Alvis Vickers and merged it with its RO Defence ordnance division to form BAE Systems Land Systems. Hägglunds was renamed Land Systems Hägglunds.

    In June BAE Systems acquired United Defense and reorganise
